Supplements for Insomnia

Inositol Powder

Inositol powder may help balance mood and relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression.  Some practitioners believe it may also improve sleep.   Talk to your doctor before taking inositol powder as it may have negative interactions with other medications.

Melatonin

Melatonin is naturally occurring in our bodies but begins to decrease as we get older.  Taking small does of melatonin can help a person fall asleep, but will not keep a person asleep who wakes up frequently during the night.  Talk to your doctor before taking melatonin.
